The ACT Test is an educational and career planning tool that assesses students' academic readiness for college. Most colleges in the Midwest require an ACT for entrance.

ACT Academy
Students have access to ACT Academy for free. You can either take quizzes on the site or enter ACT scores for personalized experience. ACT Academy is loaded with tons of videos, tips and strategies to improve you score.
TutorMe
In partnership with TutorMe.com, all Hamlin students will receive free access to TutorMe's Online ACT Prep Course. Created by ACT experts, the TutorMe course features over 10 hours of fully-animated content, along with 500+ practice problems covering all concepts tested on the ACT. This course normally costs $249, but is being offered to our students for free.

ACT Profile : Question of the day
www.actprofile.org will post a new practice question taken from a retired ACT test every day in ACT Profile
Remember: You MUST have your admission ticket (printed from ACT) and a photo ID with you the day of the test!!
If you miss the registration deadline, you can still register during the late period but must pay the additional late fee.
Wondering if you should register for the ACT plus writing? Visit the website and search for the school you are thinking of attending to see if it is required, or recommended.

If you cannot afford the test fee, ask Mrs. Popham if you are eligible for fee waiver. These are available to students that meet the following eligibility requirements.
- Be currently enrolled in high school in the 11th or 12th grade.
- Be testing in the United States, US territories, or Puerto Rico.
- Meet one or more of the indicators of economic need listed below:
- Enrolled in a federal free or reduced-price lunch program at school, based on US Department of Agriculture (USDA) income levels.
- Enrolled in a program for the economically disadvantaged (for example, a federally funded program such as GEAR UP or Upward Bound). Note: If the student participates in a program, but is not economically disadvantaged, they are not eligible for a fee waiver.
- Resides in a foster home, is a ward of the state, or is homeless.
- Family receives low-income public assistance or lives in federally subsidized public housing.
- Family’s total annual income is at or below USDA levels for free or reduced-price lunches on the USDA Food and Nutrition Service website.
